Move well. Feel strong. Age confidently.

Looking for a smarter, safer way to build strength and support your body? Our Group Reformer Pilates classes are designed with your long-term health in mind.

At Balanced Physiotherapy & Pilates, we combine our physiotherapy knowledge with flowing, full-body Pilates workouts. Unlike fast-paced studio classes, our sessions are slower, more focused, and tailored to women’s bodies across every life stage – especially those navigating midlife, ageing, or past injuries.

Why our Reformer Pilates classes are different:

  • Physio-informed movement: Every class is grounded in clinical knowledge – so you move with better alignment, purpose, and confidence.

  • Whole-body strength: Strengthen muscles, tendons, and even bones in a way that supports healthy joints and makes daily life easier.

  • Supportive teaching pace: We take our time so you can master technique, avoid injury, and truly feel the benefits.

  • Created for women over 40: We understand the unique changes and challenges your body goes through – and we meet you where you are.

REFORMER PILATES FAQ

  • Reformer Pilates classes are a low impact, whole body workout. You will improve your strength and mobility and learn to move well! Our reformer Pilates classes are suitable for those who have no current injuries, are comfortable getting up and down from the floor, can lie on their stomach, back, sides and be comfortable on their hands and knees. If you think reformer Pilates is not for you, you might want to try our Remedial Pilates or Equipment Pilates classes instead.

  • We recommend everyone start with our Foundation or Align class. These classes take things a little slower, paying more attention to form. After your class, you can chat to your instructor about when it would be suitable to take on our other classes.

  • Yes please! We have limited space, therefore bookings are essential. Bookings close 15 minutes before class starts and can be done here.

  • Please bring a towel, water bottle and grip socks! If you forget your socks, we have some available to purchase in the studio. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your first session :)

  • No, you cannot claim our group reformer classes through your private health fund.
