Pilates is a form of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates back in the early 20th century. Pilates exercises put an emphasis on the precision and control of movement, breathing, posture and activation of the deep core muscles. This makes pilates a great form of exercise for injury rehabilitation and also as part of a balanced exercise routine.
At Balanced, we provide two types of Pilates classes. Clinical Pilates which is ideal for injury rehabilitation or mat Pilates, general strengthening for those without a current injury.
