Urinary incontinence affects up to 37% of Australian women
— Continence Foundation of Australia

At Balanced Physiotherapy & Pilates we can help women with pelvic floor dysfunction.

Vanessa has undertaken additional training to allow her to assist women who suffer from:

  • Stress incontinence (involuntary leaking of urine)
  • Overactive bladder / urgency
  • Poor bladder control
  • Pelvic floor weakness
  • Pelvic organ prolapse

Often, women who suffer from these conditions accept them as a normal part of ageing or having children and may chose to put up with their symptoms rather than ask for help. However, these conditions are very common and can respond well to treatment.

A pelvic floor consultation with Vanessa consists of taking a thorough history regarding your current problem, followed by an internal examination to determine the integrity and function of your pelvic floor region. A treatment plan is then developed with you to address your goals and any areas of weakness.

If you have any questions regarding pelvic floor physiotherapy, please feel free to phone the clinic to discuss confidentially with Vanessa.
